What makes the Simba mattress so special?

The Simba mattress is a next generation mattress, arriving rolled up for convenience. The Simba team, benefiting from more than 30 years experience in mattress manufacture, having sold in excess of one million mattresses have perfected a unique combination of Simbatex, Memory Foam and 2,500 Conical Pocket Springs integrated into their five layers of comfort that means a Simba mattress intelligently shapes itself to anyone’s frame.

SIMBA’s 5 Ss - the five fabulous features that make your mattress unique – mean that a SIMBA mattress is tailored to provide unique support for each and every style of sleeper.

Sleep Surface
Breath easy with SIMBA's hypoallergenic ‘breathe in, breathe out’ cover. Its unique construction allows the mattress fillings to breath and provide you with a cool and comfortable sleep surface. This enhanced breathability promotes thermo regulation helping your body find the perfect temperature for an undisturbed night's sleep. Made from 100% polyester, the cover is resilient and durable, as well as being perfect for sensitive sleepers

Simbatex comfort layer
Developed by SIMBA, this comfort zone makes up the first layer of the mattress. It features a synthetic latex which offers the gentle initial support and cool feel you'll experience from the moment you land.

Spring powered
Featuring an unrivalled 2,500 in the king size version, each SIMBA mattress contains unique patented conical pocket springs in the second comfort layer, boasting a conical shape which provides unrivalled levels of support. Each spring adjusts individually, mapping to the shape of your posture as you sleep to offer truly tailored comfort and put the spring back in your step come morning.

Shaped for you
The third layer is made up of SIMBA's Visco memory foam, which moulds expertly to your shape as the warmth from your body softens it. It contours to your individual sleeping pose to give you the best comfort and support for your individual needs.

Enabling natural movement during sleep, it helps to prevent disturbances as it aligns your spine to maintain healthy posture. It also boasts hypoallergenic and anti-microbial properties for a clean and hygienic sleep space.

Seventh Heaven zoned support
Finally, a perfectly engineered castellated (or grooved) foam foundation is the basis of support on which you'll sleep. Its seven individual zones ensure different levels of support are provided, and your individual needs are met. Working with the other foam layers and pocket springs, this base filling can provide really responsive support.

You sell it well! It looks a lot of science, technology and mattress for my money – why is the mattress so well priced?

Unlike traditional mattress companies, we don't waste money on showrooms, commissioned salespeople, stock, or global shipping costs. Instead, we sell our mattress directly online and pass the savings onto you.

Our vertically-integrated approach means your Simba is manufactured right here in the UK and shipped to you fresh from the factory. Often the mattress is shipped to you the same day our highly trained, mattress loving craftsmen have made your mattress.

The Simba mattress is equivalent in quality and components to a £2,000-£3,000 mattress, and importantly, better than that, our science says our mattress is ideally suited to the widest range of body types, even compared to £10,000 mattresses. We offer the perfect mattress and top-notch customer service to save you time and money, taking the hassle and cost out of mattress shopping.

Other mattress companies classify their mattresses as firm, medium, hard – what is Simba? And don't I need to lay on it before buying it?

We created our mattress after extensively testing it with The Sleep to Live Institute whose research is based on profiling more than 10 million people and 180 million body profile data points - we don't confuse things like those other mattress companies. We call our mattress ‘perfect’ – every part of it engineered and married together to give the widest range of size and shape people the perfect nights sleep.

The mattress world prospers on providing too many choices in order to upsell and confuse you. We don't.

If you want us to say what it’s like compared to other mattresses, whilst saying better, we’d also say that it is medium to firm support. It's not too firm or too hard.

Whatever you’re up to in your bed, we believe you will love the support the Simba mattress gives you.

How does the 100 night Home Trial work?

We want you to get the perfect nights sleep – if for whatever reason you’re not happy with your Simba mattress within 100 days of sleeping on it, you can return it. You don't need to keep the plastic cover on it, or anything like that - unwrap it and use it like you normally would.

We do suggest that you give your mattress 30 nights to bed in – any new mattress can feel a bit different – our science says it should be good for you.

Just contact us on ( to arrange a pickup. We’ll send a courier over to remove the mattress from your home and donate it to a local charity or recycling center whenever possible.

You’ll be refunded the full value of your order.

What is the 10 year guarantee?

We're backing our quality and craftsmanship - and offer a 10 year guarantee on all Simba's. You can read our full guarantee here

What should I put my Simba mattress on?

It is designed to work on any firm, flat surface. It’s suitable for the floor, a slatted bed frame, or a box spring. As a general rule of thumb, the more surface area the better. If you choose to use a slatted bed frame, please ensure the slats are no greater than 3” apart. If you’re using an older box spring with only a few support slats, it is recommended that you use a length of plywood to offer the support to the mattress.

Due to the complex and sophisticated conical pocket springs we would not recommend the use of the Simba mattress with a orthopaedic with multiple movement positions. If any doubt, please contact us

Where do you manufacture, how ethical is your supply chain and what safety tests have you done on the Simba mattress?

Our manufacturing partner is located near Derby, whilst our springs are manufactured in the midlands. We love that Simba is able to source locally and support one of the great trades remaining in the UK - lovingly homemade.

Our manufacturer is a National Bed Federation Approved Member (2016) – having been successfully audited by EXOVA BM TRADA against the NBF’s strict code of practice which sets out criteria for ensuring processes and procedures are in place for supply chain scrutiny and compliance with regulatory requirements, including flammability, cleanliness of fillings and trade descriptions.

They were also recognised by the NBF with a highly commended award for the 2015/16 Bed Manufacturer of the Year and they have received the SEDEX/SMETA Best Practice Guidance accreditation.

All foam in the manufacture of our mattresses are CFC free and all components comply with UK fire regulations BS7177 Low hazard for domestic use - the most stringent in the industry’

How deep is the mattress - will my sheets fit on it!?

Perfect depth! The Simba is 25cm (10 inches) in height. We've packed a lot of technology into the mattress but your normal sheets will fit this just fine - it's not what the industry might call a deep mattress

Do I need to turn my mattress over regularly?

We know it's a faff. And who really has the muscle power to do that? Instead, the Simba is a no turn mattress. However rotating the mattress will increase comfort & lengthen its life.’ Initially, as guidance we would say once a month.

Delivered in a box you say? What, how!?

Yes, can you believe it!? Your Simba mattress - whatever the size will be delivered to your doorstep in a 1.05mx0.5mx0.5m dimension box - incredible - you have to see our flattening, folding and rolling machine in action - although stand well clear! Our conical pocket springs are expertly developed to fold flat within themselves so they spring back to life as full of life as when they were compressed. Your mattress can live in it's box for up to 9 months, but we'd recommend releasing it sooner and enjoying a restful nights sleep as soon as you can

What are your delivery options and how much does it cost?

Please see our Delivery Information page for full details of shipping. Order before 12pm and it can be as quick as next day, or a day of choosing - you're in control. Monday to Friday on our standard UPS delivery (9am to 7pm window) is free, zilch! Saturday delivery is £20. You also have the option of next day pre 10.30am (£20) and pre 12pm (£15) delivery via UPS if you prefer on weekdays. We use UPS for deliveries, and they will deliver your mattress to your door/hallway.

How much does each mattress weigh?

Each box weighs approximately 2kg, and then the weights of the mattress are Single:21kg Small Double:27kg Double:30kg King:37kg Super King:45kg

Will my Simba have a smell when I first open it?

Like anything new your mattress may have a smell. We only use water based adhesives to keep away as many smells as possible but due to the mattress containing foam you may find it does have an odour. If you're not familiar with foam mattresses this might well be smellier than you might expect normal - but please be assured - it is normal, perfectly safe and the smell will fade away within days of using / airing.

How do I clean my Simba mattress?

Use a soft, damp and clean cloth using small circular motions to clean. You may use light fabric cleaning products. Do not wash your cover - it is treated with (perfectly safe) fire retardants - washing your mattress cover risks washing some of the effectiveness away.

Can I use an electric blanket on my Simba?

Of course you can! Simba is designed to be used just how you want it - either cool or toasty warm!

What is the maximum weight of a person that the Simba can take?

The maximum weight per person is 18 stone (114kg)
